How we make money

When affiliate programs are active, some outbound links on Scent Memory may be affiliate links. If you click one of those links and buy something from the retailer, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. We only link to retailers where the product is actually sold.

Editorial independence

Affiliate relationships do not influence our scoring. The rankings, category scores, and written reviews you see on this site are the product of our own research and synthesis. We don't accept payment for favorable coverage, and we don't change a score to chase a commission.

FTC compliance

As required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides, we plainly disclose our material connections. When affiliate links are live, every review and listicle page carrying such a link includes a visible disclosure, and every affiliate link itself is marked with rel="nofollow sponsored". This page is always linked from the footer.
